Book Out Day
My first book-out. What a hollow incentive. Only for one day and have to book back in already. At least my confinement weeks are over and i can come back home every weekend. Hard to believe but time flies in the Army. Everyday is so pre-occupied with activities and training that you don't even think about anything else. Those who do think about home and stuff, suffer the most and cry themselves to sleep every night. 9:34 AM
Book Out Day
The training is tolerable but the officers there can go quite overboard. I'm now used to the swearing and vulgarities they throw in our faces everyday which caught me off-gaurd on my first day there. Nothing they do surprises me anymore because i'm always expecting the worst. My Platoon is a great bunch, very caring, funny, and we are the best of friends.
I don't want to talk too much about NS life, so i'll just end with my fav marching cheer.
Purple light, in the valley
that is where, i want to be
engineers, close companions
with my rifle and my buddy and me.
SOC, sibei jialat
IPPT, lagi worse
everyday, doing pt
with my rifle and my buddy and me.
Booking out, saw my girlfriend
saw her with, another man
broken heart, back to bravo
with my rifle and my buddy and me.
ORD, back to study
got degree, so happy
can't forget, days in bravo
with my rifle and my buddy and me.
Purple heart, at the warfront
that is where, my buddy died
if i die, will you bury me
with my rifle and my buddy and me.

Judgement Day
Well, the time has come. Soon I'll be preparing to leave my house for two years of hell in Jurong. I cannot sleep. Me, the usually cool, calm and slacker type is gripped with panic! But this state is not unusual to me. I always feel scared on the very last minute and overthink things. That's why my new motto will be: Don't overthink it, Just do it. Haha. Good isn't it? *rolls eyes*.3:23 AM
Judgement Day
I wish i would be able to say something so profoudly deep and meaningful that i'll have you all in tears at the end of my post. Unfortunately I'm not that smart.
Flying high, touch the sky
Going to places I never knew
So goodbye
And hello, long ago
I can see history
Standing still, a mystery
If you will pardon me
I'm away for the day
Feels so good to be soaring'
Cause life was so boring
Goodbye
There must be room for growing
Somewhere else and I'm going
Goodbye
The days and nights have gone dry
The last two whole years have flashed by
My bags are packed. Jigsaw given to my sis. Tied up all loose ends. Cleaned my room. Unpluged all cables and switches. Made my bed. Closed my windows. Drew my curtains. Switched off my lights. Closed my door....

Cool
Heys all. I know, i know..long time never post anything. Just too lazy to do it. Anyway, I'm here now. This Friday is Judgement day. The day every boy dreads when he's in Secondary School and reassures himself by thinking that it's still a long way to go. My enlistment day. 5:48 PM
Cool
Posted to Combat Engineers in Jurong Camp. Heard stories of the hellish training in there. I'm not worried. I have a high tolerance level. I'm just afraid of sustaining serious injuries in there like damaging my knee cap or spine. But part of me wants to achieve the toughest that NS has to offer. I'm up for a challenge.
So what might i be doing for the last 5 days of my civilian life you might ask. Well, I just completed a 1000 piece Jigsaw-puzzle that I stayed up many nights to do only to find in the final moments that 1 piece was missing! The feeling cannot be described here. I was so frustrated. Then today while tidying up my room, I found the final piece under my bed!! Wow, so it does pay to clean your room once in a while.
Now going to start on another 1000 piece puzzle for my sister. I'm going to try and complete it before i go into NS. Sort of a going away present from me to her. Haha. Well, I'm sure i'll have alot to update when I book out of NS. So stay tuned!
